Nancy Sheehan, PharmD, MSc

Biography

Nancy Sheehan is a pharmacist specialized in the treatment of HIV and other viral infections.  She received a Bachelor in pharmacy (1997) and M.Sc. (Hospital Pharmacy) (1998) at Université Laval (Québec City, Canada), and a Pharm.D. degree (2017) at Université de Montréal (Montréal, Canada). She completed an HIV pharmacy residency (2002) with the Toronto General Hospital / St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto, Canada).  She practices at the Chronic Viral Illness Service of the McGill University Health Centre (Montréal) and coordinates the Québec Antiretroviral Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) Program.  She is the lead author on the Québec guidelines for antiretroviral TDM.  She is a Full Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université de Montréal where she teaches in infectious diseases.  She co-coordinates the HIV Advanced (year 2) Pharmacy Residency Program (Toronto General Hospital / McGill University Health Centre). Her research focuses on drug-drug interactions and pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic determinants of virologic response in the fields of HIV, viral hepatitis, and COVID-19.
