A young woman passionate about changing people’s lives for the better.
I completed degree in Development Studies and French in 2017 at National University of Lesotho specializing in project management and Gender mainstreaming courses. I volunteered at university radio station working as Head of news and mentor youth in youth programs.
I joined Lesotho Network of AIDS Services Organization (LENASO) in 2017 leading youth related HIV prevention programs as Events Coordinator for mobilization of HIV and TB service uptake in the communities of Lesotho.
She works as a HER VOICE AGYW Ambassador for Lesotho advocating for meaningful engagement of AGYW in decision making platforms that shape the HIV response. She formed AGYW empowerment groups in 10 districts of Lesotho where we trained district ambassadors on running and overseeing sustainability of AGYW groups.
I was part of reviewing the National HIV and TB Strategic Plan and in the process of developing the National Operational Plan.
Nthabeleng works with ATHENA NETWORK as #whatgirlswant, whatwomenwant Focal point in Lesotho. She advocates for equality, women rights in the HIV response in all their diversities and their meaningful engagement in platforms where their ideas could influence national girl centered policies. She reached about 700 AGYW with SRHR messages and issued sanitary towels as contribution to “keeping them in schools”.
