Dr N Ruswa is medical doctor and public health practitioner with several years’ experience in the management of HIV and TB. With masters’ degrees in infectious diseases as well as public health, he has been involved in the clinical care of patients in high HIV and drug-resistant TB settings. He is a clinical mentor and current acting chief medical officer for the Namibia National TB and Leprosy Programme as well as a member of the Group for Research in Infectious Diseases based at the University of Namibia. He has research interest in subclinical/asymptomatic TB, TB diagnostics, TB infection, drug resistance and TB prevention. He also serves as a peer reviewer for various scientific publications.
