Núria Alonso, MD PhD, is Director of the Endocrinology & Nutrition Department at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona (Barcelona, Spain) and is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Autonomous Univerity of Barcelona (UAB). Her research is focused on diabetes and cardiovascular complications mainly those involving the cardiovascular system (subclinical aterosclerosis and heart failure) as well as on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles and has been principal investigator of several research projects funded by national and international agencies.
