Nyiko Kubai is a dedicated activist from South Africa. He advocates for the rights of young people living with HIV and HIV/AIDS treatment optimization including treatment access, options and improved diagnostics.
Currently as the lead Youth Operations Manager for Tholulwazi, a non-profit organization that offers enhanced psychosocial support to young people living with HIV, Nyiko focuses on advocacy, content and programme development.
Nyiko was appointed a member of Afrocab, where he leads a technical team of young leaders in all nine provinces to advance quality HIV/AIDS treatment and diagnostics in South Africa. He is also an active member of the Y+ Network in South Africa, where he is the leading advocacy officer on HIV/AIDS commodities and SRH-R and a CAB representative of SMART4TB, representing RSA.
Nyiko is a facilitator for civil society organisation training on HIV, SRH, and Youth Media Literacy. He is a member of the Youth Reference group for the International HIV and Adolescents Workshop as well as the previous local co-chair. Nyiko is also part of the Eastern and Southern Africa youth-led HIV and SRHR UNITED! Movement.
