Patrick Sullivan, DVM, PhD

Biography

Patrick Sullivan is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Epidemiology at Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health.  Patrick is a veterinarian with doctoral training in comparative and experimental medicine.  Prior to joining Emory’s faculty in 2008, Patrick served as an EIS officer at CDC and for 12 years in CDC’s Division of HIV AIDS Prevention.  He has served as Chief of CDC’s HIV Behavioral and Clinical Surveillance Branch, and the Deputy Director for Scientific Support in the NIH-funded HIV Vaccine Trials Network.  His research interests focus on behavioral epidemiology and interventions for sexual and gender minority people, especially young men who have sex with men.
