Paula Seery is a Paediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist Nurse at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. With more than 25 years of clinical experience working with families with HIV, her clinical interests also include perinatal infections, adolescent and migrant health.
She is the Nursing Lead for HIV transition at St Mary’s Hospital and the prevention and management of perinatal infectious diseases across Northwest London (NWL). In addition, Paula has played a major role establishing specialist paediatric infectious disease services and integrated care pathways for newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children across NWL, setting up the ‘UNITY’ clinic to incorporate infection and mental health screening into initial statutory health assessments as a one-stop-shop.
Passionate about improving care for vulnerable populations, Paula is dedicated to breaking down barriers to healthcare access, promoting collaborative approaches to integrate physical and mental health, and enhancing the well-being of children and families across paediatric infectious disease settings.
