Folke Brinkmann is professor at the University of Luebeck and Head of Section of Pediatric Pneumology and Allergy.
She received her M.D. at the University of Freiburg and completed her specialist qualification in Glasgow, Hannover, Oxford and Bochum.
Her area of scientific interest includes respiratory infections, postinfectious syndromes and rare pediatric lung diseases where she is chairing several multicentre studies. She is the past chair of the pediatric trials tuberculosis network (ptbnet) and on the national advisory board for respiratory infections.
