Renata Ram is the Country Director for the joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Pacific Office based in Fiji. She started her career as a Dental Therapist at the Ministry of Health in Fiji, serving both clinical and public health settings. Renata’s past professional experience involved work regionally and locally in government, the private sector, academia and international organisations. Before joining UNAIDS, Renata worked as a Programme Management Officer for the World Health Organisation, working with the Ministry of Health in Fiji in the coordination of Fiji’s Zika-virus response. She holds a Masters of Health Policy from the University of Sydney, and further post-graduate qualifications in Public Health, Health Services Management from the Fiji School of Medicine, and Development Studies from the University of the South Pacific.
