Biography

Dr Robyn Silcock is the Infectious Diseases Fellow at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.  Robyn graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2010 with a combined Medicine/Arts degree.  She has studied and worked in paediatric infectious diseases across Australia from Darwin to Melbourne, and in Chad, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  

Robyn is also training in clinical microbiology and has keen interests in HIV and viral diagnostics.  She continues to prioritise clinical research and has published several papers on severe viral infections in children.  Robyn also pursued her interest in public health through completing a Masters in Public Health and Masters in Health Administration in 2018.  Robyn has maintained a commitment to global health as an association member of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Australia and through volunteer Spanish and French translating work with the Rosetta Foundation.
