Seluleko Celucolo Simelane is a Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Life skills education practitioner. As a peer educator he has served within the Youth Action Movement under the Family Life Association of Eswatini where he previously served as the Manzini Region Youth Coordinator. Currently, he serves the European Union Delegation (EUD) to Eswatini as one of 14 Youth Ambassadors within the EU Youth Advisory Board (YAB). The role of the board is to provide instrumental insights in refining the EUD’s strategies and initiatives, decision-making processes, policy papers or programming. He also works with the Southern African AIDS Information and Dissemination Service Eswatini as a Social Accountability Monitoring Champion for Youth Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. The organization focuses primarily on up scaling youth access to SRH services and reporting on their treatment at clinical facilities through a mobile application called MobiSAfAIDS.
He was also a participant young leader at the UNITED! Leadership Summit on Youth-Led Sexual Reproductive Health & HIV for Eastern and Southern Africa, held in South Africa in 2023.
He recently joined a team of Youth Expert Advisors the Y! Participate Project implemented by Save the Children Denmark in collaboration with The MHPSS Collaborative. This is an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing meaningful participation of young people in mental health and well-being initiatives.
His passion for youth empowerment has further extended to the global stage, as he is a UNFPA CSE Academy Anchor at Rutgers: For sexual and reproductive health and rights, the leading Dutch center of expertise on sexuality that is active in The Netherlands and internationally in about 20 countries. Internationally, he serves The Global Youth Mobilization as a Senior Youth Panelist for the EU Youth-Led Solutions Youth Empowerment Fund. His role is to support youth panelists in reviewing grant applications ahead of panel meetings against agreed criteria, facilitate and lead Youth Panel meetings to discuss successful applications and provide meeting outcomes and panel feedback to the Project Coordination Team.
