Sergii Antoniak works as a Researcher and ID physician at Viral Hepatitis and AIDS Department at the Clinic of the Gromashevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases within the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
Sergii has experience in management of patients with HIV infection, opportunistic infections, HIV-associated diseases and conditions, co-infections (viral hepatitis, tuberculosis and other), co-morbidities (CVD, Diabetes Mellitus etc.), complications, providing ART, including treatment failures management, and conducting research in the field of HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis in mono- and co-infected patients.
Sergii studied Epidemiology and Biostatistics at School of Public Health, University at Albany, SUNY, Albany, NY, USA, and works as a Consultant on clinical trials at Research Organisation (KC) Ltd.
He is a member of the Organizing Committee of the series of WAVE (EACS) webinars “On Track to Improve the Health of Women Living with HIV – Ukraine” and an active member of the Euroguidelines in Central and Eastern Europe (ECEE) Network Group.
Sergii is currently actively involved in providing access to HIV care in Ukraine and in other countries to Ukrainian people who are displaced because of military aggression of Russian Federation.
