Shalom Mwape is a programs officer at Copper Rose Zambia working on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV Prevention programs. She has worked as district coordinator under the USAID CHEKUP 1 project under Copper Rose Zambia where she managed the implementation of project activities on HIV prevention for adolescent boys and girls and young women and men in Lusaka district.
She has previously served as a project officer at Generation Alive Zambia where she managed the implementation of adolescent sexual and reproductive health activities and the promotion of young people’s meaningful participation in decision-making at all levels of society.
Among the many notable achievements in her role, was the ability to organize district assemblies for adolescents to meaningfully engage their members of parliament and policy makers to advocate for quality comprehensive SRH services and inclusion in the national development agenda.
Shalom Mwape is a social worker by profession with accolades from the University of Zambia as the most outstanding social work student and most outstanding graduate student in the school of humanities and social sciences in the class of 2020. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work at the University of Zambia. In her free time, Shalom enjoys spending time with her family, reading, painting and participating in fun outdoor activities.
