Sheree Schwartz, PhD, MPH

Biography

Dr. Schwartz is an infectious disease epidemiologist and Associate Scientist at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology. She spent 7 years in sub-Saharan Africa – in Mozambique and South Africa working first in public health and HIV programming implementation and then later moving over to the research side supporting and leading HIV prevention and research studies.

Sheree is the Co-Director of the Implementation Science Core at the Johns Hopkins Center for AIDS Research, the Co-Director of the MACC+ Implementation Science Consultation Hub supporting the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. initiatives, and Director of the national NIH-funded Implementation Science Fellowship for Early Stage Investigators.  Her work largely focuses on utilizing innovative methods and implementation science frameworks to optimize HIV treatment and prevention services for women, adolescents and historically marginalized populations.
