Sibongiseni Sanele Malinga, MBChB, Dip HIV Man (SA)

Biography

Dr Malinga is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of KwaZulu Natal and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine&Surgery (MBChB) as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in HIV Management from The College of Medicine of South Africa. He is currently doing his final year in a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health with the University of KwaZulu Natal. 

Dr Malinga, affectionately known as Dr Nokusho runs a Paediatrics HIV Clinic at a large tertiary hospital; King Edward VII Hospital, in eThekwini South Africa, that provides support for differential care model for the delivery of advanced care in KwaZulu Natal. KwaZulu Natal has the largest population of children and adolescents living with HIV in South Africa. 

In addition to attending to his patients, he also provides support to doctors and nurses with advanced HIV care including treatment failure, HIV drug resistance, adverse effects and other problems encountered by children and adolescents living with HIV. He is also an aspiring researcher in the field of HIV.
