Biography

Dr. Suilanji Sivile is a medical doctor with a Masters in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases from the University of Zambia and a Master of Health Sciences in Health Systems Innovations, majoring in dissemination and implementation research, from the University of Maryland Baltimore. He currently serves as the National HIV Technical Advisor for the Ministry of Health in Zambia and as the focal point person for advanced HIV Disease in Zambia. Additionally, he is a part-time lecturer at the Infectious Diseases division of the University of Zambia (UNZA) School of Medicine (SOM) and heads the infectious diseases unit at the University Teaching Hospital. He is the lead program officer for HIV treatment care and support for the Ministry of Health, responsible for coordinating and monitoring the performance of the HIV program, guidelines, and policies in Zambia. His research interests include: 1) HIV/TB clinical outcomes, 2) Infectious Diseases innovations implementations and dissemination research, and 3) HIV and non-communicable diseases integration and surveillance. Dr. Sivile is a practicing physician, a program implementation officer, and a student of dissemination and implementation science.
