Stéphane Hué, MSc, PhD

Biography

Stéphane Hué is an associate professor in Epidemiology and Bioinformatics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. He specialises in viral evolution, pathogen genomics and the molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases.

Stéphane obtained a PhD in the molecular epidemiology of HIV-1 at University College London, UK, and pursued his career at the University of Oxford, University College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’s Centre for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases, where he is currently based.

His research activity focuses on the reconstruction of pathogen transmission dynamics from the joint analysis of epidemiological and genomic information. While primarily oriented towards the study of HIV, his research interests include a range of other viral and bacterial pathogens, such as Dengue virus, Streptococcus pneumonia and Hepatitis Delta virus
