He specialises in infectious diseases, fever of unknown origin, HIV/AIDS care, immunocompromised infection, surgical infections, adult immunization and prevention and management of travel related infectious diseases.
He has authored or co-authored over 38 publications in esteemed, peer-reviewed journals including International Journal of Cardiology, Infection and Chemotherapy, Clinical Microbiology and Infection and European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases.
He is a member of the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases, Korean Society for Healthcare-associated Infection Control, Korean Vaccine Society and Korean Medical Association.
He is also Chair of the Program Committee for the Korean Society for AIDS and Chair of the Media Committee for the Korean Association of Internal Medicine.
