Dr Taiwo Oyelade is an international public health expert with about 20 years’ experience in policy analysis and programme development in the areas of reproductive and maternal health, implementation research, gender and healthy ageing. He is currently providing specialist technical support to Member States in the African Region for the development, promotion, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of equity-oriented, rights-based, and gender-transformative approaches to strengthening health policies, plans and programmes. He is a global trainer on prevention and health sector response to gender-based violence including intimate partner violence and sexual violence. Before joining the World Health Organization in 2006, he has worked in Nigeria with the ministry of health and UNFPA country office as programme adviser providing leadership and coordinating programme of support on population and reproductive health.
