Dr. Tanayott (Tony) Thaweethai is an Instructor in Investigation and Associate Director of Biostatistics Research and Engagement at Massachusetts General Hospital Biostatistics. He is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an instructor in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He works on developing statistical methods to resolve missing data challenges in electronic health records-based studies of diabetes, COVID-19, and other diseases. He also serves as the lead biostatistician in the Data Resource Core at Massachusetts General Hospital for RECOVER, an NIH initiative that seeks to understand, prevent, and treat post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), including Long COVID. He received his PhD in biostatistics from Harvard University.
