Tetiana Deshko has worked in HIV/AIDS since 2001. As part of International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine she has been leading Field Programmes Department as Associate Director and achieved success developing and implementing national HIV/AIDS programme among key populations reaching annually to over 250 000 persons, that has resulted in decline in new infections in the country. Ukraine programme is considered to be a model for the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia and is internationally acknowledged to be among best response practices in concentrated HIV epidemics. Tetiana has been managing international and multicounty projects in Eastern Europe, Asia and East Africa. Tetiana Deshko was among the initiators of the first Ukraine programme of Hepatitis C treatment for people using drugs. She holds PhD in social sciences.
