Thais Renovatto is an author and activist who was diagnosed with HIV in 2014. Following successful treatment, Thais was able to start a family with her serodiscordant husband: she has two children, both of whom are HIV negative.
Thais published a book on her diagnosis and experiences living with HIV, titled ‘5 Years with Me’, which received the ‘New Talents of Brazilian Literature’ seal from the publisher, Novo Século. Thais also gives lectures and has made appearances in the national media about her story, from receiving her diagnosis to becoming undetectable, getting married and starting a family. Thais is an ambassador for the ‘Child AIDS Project’, a non-profit organisation that helps children living with HIV and their families.
Thais has over 15 years of experience in trade marketing in Brazil, with extensive experience in the commercial and marketing sectors. She currently works as a channel marketing coordinator for Associated British Foods, overseeing the implementation of regional strategies and incentive campaigns of associated brands via different channels. Previously, Thais was a trade marketing coordinator at Sony Brazil and a trade marketing supervisor at Samsung Brazil. She completed a digital marketing specialisation and training course in 2018 at São Paulo Digital School and earned her MBA in Project Management, Administration, Business and Marketing from the Higher School of Advertising and Marketing in Brazil in 2015.
