Her Medical education at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro is as follows: Graduation (1985), Infectious Diseases MsC (1999), Infectious Diseases PhD (2006).
Presently she is an Associate Professor at UFRJ School of Medicine - Pediatric Department, where she is the head of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases service, also with large experience in Pediatric AIDS, Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, working at Pediatric Institute (IPPMG).
She is a member of the State of Rio de Janeiro Pediatric Infectious Diseases Committee, SOPERJ and physician at Rio de Janeiro Vaccine Center – Vaccine Refrerence Center for Special Immunobiologic Medicines.
