Tharindi Devasurendra is a Sri Lankan activist, researcher, and academic working in SRHR, women's rights, and LGBT rights. She is currently working at Youth Voices Count, a regional network of young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex individuals in the Asia-Pacific working on SRHR, SOGIESC, youth empowerment, and human rights issues. She has been working towards advocating for women's rights to bodily autonomy and raising awareness in the LGBTIQ+ community.
Tharindi has been involved in several areas of focus including but not limited to suicide awareness, gender discrimination, youth and SRHR, empowerment through education, and more. Her current work revolves mainly around LGBTIQ+ issues across the Asia-Pacific and she is also involved with Youth Advocacy Network Sri Lanka as a member and trainer in providing knowledge and education to young people on SRHR and access to services.
