Dr. Thibault Mesplède has been an Assistant Professor in the Viroscience Department at Erasmus MC since 2021. He was previously an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University in Canada, where he studied and worked for 15 years.
He was trained on HIV drug resistance with the late Mark Wainberg, and he is internationally recognized for his work on integrase inhibitors. He has published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is currently very interested in the relationship between drug resistance and HIV cure.
