Mr. Likhitwonnawut has been working as a consultant for AVAC in Thailand on community engagement on HIV research for the past 9 years. His responsibilities include capacity building and networking for existing HIV CABs in Thailand, promoting community participation in HIV research and GPP implementation in the country. He is one of the founders of Thailand national CAB (NCAB) on HIV research which was formed in 2013 by members of 5 existing institutional CABs in the country. NCAB is funded and supported by AVAC since its inception.
He also serves as a pro bono advisor for the institutional CABs for IHRI (Institute of HIV Research and Innovation) and VTC (Vaccine Trial Center), Mahidol University.
He is a member of the National Subcommittee on HIV Vaccine Development representing the Thai NGO Coalition on AIDS (TNCA), the national umbrella organization for HIV/AIDS-related organizations and AVAC.
He was a consultant on CAB constitution for the Community Engagement team of the Retrovirology Department of Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS) from 2010-2018.
