Vincent Calvez, MD, PhD

Biography

Vincent Calvez studied medicine where he was trained in oncology and clinical virology. He obtained his doctorate in medicine at Pierre and Marie Curie University then continued his science studies at the Pasteur Institute in Paris where he obtained a PhD in molecular virology. Since the early 1990s, he has been involved in understanding HIV resistance to antiretrovirals and has participated in more than 40 clinical trials. He has supervised 20 PhD theses and is co-author of 650 international publications and 10 patents, three of which are exploited. He is co-founder of skindermic, a clinical stage biotech company specializing in the development of new drugs. He is leading the ANRS clinical virology network for 15 years.
