Vincent Soriano, MD, PhD received his medical degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he subsequently did his specialty in Internal Medicine. After a post-doc stage at the FDA (Bethesda, MD), he returned to Spain and joined the Department of Infectious Diseases at Hospital Carlos III in Madrid. Since 1999 he was the Assistant Director. In 2014 he moved to La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, Spain
Dr. Soriano’s expertise has focused mainly on clinical virology, mostly retroviruses and viral hepatitis, as well as antiviral therapy. He is currently the Editor of AIDS Reviews (impact factor 4.1). He is member of the Editorial board of Clinical Infectious Diseases, HIV Medicine, Journal of Medical Virology, etc. He has been leading international panels which have produced recommendations for the management of patients with HIV and viral hepatitis. Dr. Soriano’s team has produced more than 500 publications in international peer-reviewed journals (PubMed).
