Biography

Dr. Wang-Huei Sheng is a full-time Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine and Director of Department of Medical Education at National Taiwan University Hospital. He is also previous Director of the Center for Infection Control, and Director of Division of Infectious Diseases at National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei City, Taiwan.

Dr. Sheng gained his medical degree at Taipei Medical University in 1992, after which he did his residency at National Taiwan University Hospital. He spent 3 years as Attending Physician at Provincial Taoyuan Hospital, followed by 2 years with the AIDS Research Center of the Department of Health, Taiwan. In 2007 he gained his Doctoral degree from National Taiwan University. Dr. Sheng is a currently a member of the Society of Emergency Medicine, the Society of Internal Medicine, the Society of Immunology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, the Society of AIDS Research, and the Society of Hospital Infection Control in Taiwan. Research interests include infection control of multiple drug resistant bacteria and HIV/viral hepatitis co-infections. Publications include more than 150 SCI manuscripts during 1998-2022.
