Yi-Roe Tan, BSc, MPH

Yi-Roe is the Senior Implementation Manager for HealthAI - The Global Agency for Responsible AI in Health. Currently, she manages the planning and implementation of projects with global partners on regulation of AI innovations in health. She is involved in stakeholder engagement across governments, regulatory agencies, international organizations, academic and research institutions, and civil society representatives. She has co-led research projects with partners worldwide on topics such as pandemic preparedness and response, antimicrobial resistance, and maternal and child health. Her interests involve the translation of research into practice and policy, particularly on implementation science and participatory approaches to engage local communities who are at the receiving ends of policies and interventions.

Before joining HealthAI, she worked as a research fellow at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases in Singapore, employing mixed methods in public health and community-based research projects on topics such as HIV self-testing, tuberculosis, influenza, and pneumococcal vaccination. With a Master of Public Health, and knowledge in implementation science, she also worked closely with the Ministry of Health in Singapore on the implementation and evaluation of healthcare transformation projects at the hospital level using digital tools as enablers. Having a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, she has also been practising as a Chinese physician.
