Yongtao Sun, MD, Ph.D. is a Professor and the Director of Infectious Disease Department of Tangdu Hospital affiliated with the Fourth Military Medical School. He is responsible for more than 20 projects of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Natural Science Foundation, and the national project during 2003-2020. His research interests focus on HIV/AIDS treatment and care. Additionally, he is the Principle Investigator of HIV/AIDS functional cure in China.
In 2015, He was the Head and Leading physician of the Ebola virus disease of the United Nations Mission in Liberia.
