I am a veterinarian by training and have worked for several years in small animal clinical practice. My interest in emerging diseases led me to pursue an MSc and PhD in Epidemiology, allowing me to apply my expertise to issues related to infectious diseases. My research focuses on the intersection of public health and emerging infectious diseases, specifically on surveillance and analytical approaches to support risk assessments. I have been with BlueDot for over seven years, where I contribute to the development of our surveillance system, support our team of experts in rapidly detecting new threats, and help in the development and application of models to anticipate spread and impact.
