Chia-Wen Li, MD, MSc, is an attending physician at National Cheng Kung University Hospital in Tainan City, Taiwan, one of the designated hospitals for HIV care, with more than 600 HIV-positive individuals directly under her care. She is responsible for both outpatient and inpatient services on HIV/AIDS and general internal medicine, infectious diseases consultation services, and also clinical education of medical students and residents.
Dr. Li completed her medical degree at College of medicine of National Cheng Kung University and obtained her Master of Science degree at Department of Public Health of National Cheng Kung University. She completed a series of subspecialist training of infectious diseases at National Cheng Kung University Hospital in Taiwan. Recently, she just completed a programme regarding health policy and health economics for Master of Science degree at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK.
Dr. Li specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and in-hospital infection control. Her research interests include HIV treatment, complication and co-morbidities, as well as HIV prevention such as pre-exposure prophylaxis and chemsex. She is currently a clinical assistant professor at College of Medicine of National Cheng Kung University.
