Dr Elena Ivanova Reipold is Deputy Director for Technology Innovation at FIND. Previously, she was involved in various projects in TB and Hepatitis C programmes; in 2016-2020 she was leading R&D activities in Unitaid-supported FIND HEAD-Start project focused on development and evaluation of new diagnostic assays for Hepatitis C. Elena holds MD in clinical biochemistry and PhD in molecular biology. Before joining FIND, Elena worked in basic research studying macromolecule interactions, mechanisms of viral protein synthesis, and cellular response to viral infections in human cells; and in biotech industry in the field of drug discovery.
