Eric Guedj (MD, Dipl.-Ing., PhD) is Professor of Biophysics and Nuclear Medicine at Aix-Marseille University (AMU), Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Timone Hospital (APHM), and leader of the ImoTheP research team at the Fresnel Institute (AMU, CNRS, Ecole Centrale Marseille). He is also the scientific coordinator of the whole-body digital PET imaging infrastructure project at AMU. For over 20 years, he has developed clinical expertise in brain molecular imaging, focusing on psychiatric, neurological, and oncological diseases, advancing both patient care and neuroscience from biomarkers to theranostics. His team notably identified a brain PET metabolic signature associated with long COVID. In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Eric Guedj currently chairs the Brain Imaging Working Group at the French National Society of Nuclear Medicine (SFMN) and serves as the guidelines delegate of the Neuroimaging Committee at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM). He recently coordinated the publication of European and American (SNM) recommendations for 18F-FDG brain PET imaging. Since April 2022, he has been an expert for the French Ministry of Health.
