Latin American Workshop on Women & HIV 2025
What's New
Welcome
This first edition of the Latin American Workshop on Women & HIV is dedicated to enhancing research and data sharing and promoting the integration of research evidence into HIV care for underrepresented women in the region. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between research evidence and clinical practice by providing insights into the impact of HIV on women’s health and delineating the unique challenges faced by girls and women living in Latin America and the Caribbean. By fostering dialogue among leading researchers, allied health professionals, community representatives, caregivers, and policymakers, this workshop seeks to contribute to reducing HIV transmission and improving the quality of life for women living with HIV in the region.
Researchers will have the opportunity to present and discuss the latest developments and are offered opportunities for interaction, networking, and building new collaborations. Top experts integrate science and clinical practice through state-of-the-art lectures, clinical case presentations, roundtable discussions, and interactive debates to inform how treatment and prevention guidelines are implemented in the region, and reach a consensus on best practices. The conference gives early-career investigators a platform to present their data and to communicate with colleagues and key opinion leaders in the field. The program will feature plenary sessions, symposia, oral abstract presentations, poster tours and poster viewing sessions, exhibition, and skill-building sessions - providing a unique opportunity to meet colleagues in a regionally focused, scientific setting.
