Florent Geerts is a Managing Director at Delft Imaging, a social enterprise that strives to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere, through the use of innovative imaging solutions (X-ray/ultrasound) and artificial intelligence, focusing especially on tuberculosis detection & prevention and maternal healthcare. The organization is active in over 85 emerging countries worldwide and has supported the screening of more than 30 million people globally.
Next to his role as a Managing Director at Delft Imaging, he is a Director at the office of Delft Imaging in Ghana and supports as an advisor to our sister company Thirona. Thirona develops artificial intelligence solutions focusing on the analysis of thoracic CT scans (LungQ), chest X-rays (CAD4TB), and retinal images (RetCAD).
Florent Geerts is an active member at the Task Force Health Care (TFHC), supporting the life sciences and healthcare sector of the Netherlands, as well as a member of the Steering Committee for the ASEAN region at TFHC, working closely with the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RvO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MinBuZa) and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS).
In his spare time, he is a mentor and coach to innovative start-ups within the Seedstars network (pre-seed/seed stages), especially those active in healthcare in developing countries, and supports as a judge in start-up competitions of Africa's Business Heroes.
