Dr Gibril Ndow is the Director of Research for the Centre for Operational Research on Hepatitis B (COR-HEP) at the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination (CGHE) and the Head of the Hepatitis Research Group at the MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM. He holds a medical degree from the University of The Gambia and a PhD in Clinical Medicine Research from Imperial College London.
Dr Ndow leads an ambitious research portfolio on hepatitis B and liver disease across multiple low- and middle-income countries. His research focuses on identifying and addressing operational barriers to implementing hepatitis B prevention and management strategies, to generate evidence that will inform policy and programs at national, regional and global levels. Through this research, he aims to improve hepatitis B care and drive strategies that accelerate disease elimination efforts worldwide.
