Prof. Graham P Taylor is Head of Section of Virology, Department of Infectious Disease, Imperial College London. He has been working in the field of human retrovirology since 1992 when he joined St. Mary’s Hospital, London as a clinical research fellow and established an HTLV research clinic. In 2004 this became the National Centre for Human Retrovirology providing care for people living in England with HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 infections through a nationwide network of clinics. His research interests are the pathogenesis and treatment of HTLV-1 infection, improving diagnostics to detect disease at a much earlier stage and the prevention of HTLV-1 vertical transmission.
