Hui Zhuang, MD

Biography

Professor Hui Zhuang graduated from the First Moscow Medical Institute in 1955. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Disease Center, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center.

Professor Zhuang is also a member of the Regional Commission for Certification of Poliomyelitis Eradication in Western Pacific, World Health Organisation; a member of the Expert Working Group on Hepatitis B in Western Pacific, World Health Organisation; an expert of the World Hepatitis Alliance; Vice Chairman of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association; the Council of Chinese Association of Medicine; and the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Society of Hepatology. Professor Zhuang is also a member of ChineseAcademy of Engineering, which is the highest academic title and a life-long honour. The Ministry of Science and Technology has awarded two national prizes of science and technology to Professor Zhuang. He has won several prizes of science and technology awarded by the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Beijing Municipal Government; three certificates of new drugs from the State Food and Drug Administration, China.
