Jason Brophy, MD, MSc, DTM, FRCPC

Biography

Dr. Jason Brophy is a pediatric infectious diseases clinician and researcher at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa. He is the Chair of the Canadian Pediatric and Perinatal AIDS Research Group, co-lead of the Clinical Care & Management Core of the CIHR-Canadian HIV Trials Network, and liaison member on the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Pediatric HIV Guidelines Panel. His HIV research interests are in the epidemiology and clinical care of pediatric/perinatal HIV and its prevention in Canada and globally, and in the long-term toxicities associated with antiretroviral therapy and HIV itself. 

Dr. Brophy also works part-time as a Pediatric HIV Clinical Advisor with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), supporting the uptake of optimal pediatric antiretroviral therapy and HIV care in West-Central Africa and South East Asia.
