Lena Birzele graduated from medical school at university of Munich (LMU), Germany, in 2014 and trained in paediatrics at the Dr. von Hauner Children's Hospital. Since 2020, she is working in the infectious disease department at the Dr. von Hauner Children's Hospital. She is also a member of an online antibiotic stewardship project named “Telekasper”. The aim of this project is to reduce the antibiotic use in rural areas and to help smaller hospitals without ID specialists to treat patients with complicated infectious diseases.
