Maren received her Bachelor’s degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota and graduated with a Master’s in physician assistant studies from Marquette University.
She is a certified and licensed physician assistant, specializing in orthopedic medicine. Her background includes inpatient management, surgical assisting, wound care, and urgent care assessment of various orthopedic concerns. During her training, she also completed a thesis on “The effects of motivational interviewing on vaccine hesitancy” and had a dedicated internship in infectious disease medicine.
Maren joined Virology Education/Academic Medical Education in 2023 as a scientific manager and works alongside her colleagues to develop cutting-edge educational programs in infectious diseases and other areas of medicine.
