Dr. Mischa Huson is an Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases specialist. She did her PhD research on sepsis in patients with HIV in The Netherlands (Amsterdam UMC) and Gabon (Centre de recherches médicales de Lambaréné, CERMEL). She obtained her Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, completed her training in Infectious Diseases at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam and worked as an Infectious Diseases consultant at Radboudumc in Nijmegen.
Dr. Huson has spearheaded several projects in the context of HIV, point-of-care ultrasound and global health. Recently, she joined the post-COVID expertise team at Erasmus MC, which is pioneering Dutch post-COVID expertise centres in collaboration with Amsterdam UMC and Maastricht UMC.
