Nicola Montano graduated in Medicine at the University of Milan in 1988 and got his PhD in “Clinical Medicine” in 1994 at the same University. He is currently Full Professor of Internal Medicine and Head of the Neural Control Lab at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Community Health, at the University of Milan, Milan, and Director of the Division of Internal Medicine, Immunology & Allergology at Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy.
He is currently Vice Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Milan and currently President of the Italian Society of Internal Medicine (SIMI).
His research activity is mainly related to three topics: 1) neuromodulation in cardiovascular and immune diseases, 2) chronic cardiovascular diseases and 3) clinical methodology.
He is author of more than 340 full lenght papers and his h-‐index is 62 (Scopus 2024 source).
