Oriel Fernandes is the Associate Director of Country Support, Planning and Operations for the Viral Hepatitis Program at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI).
CHAI is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capacity of governments to build and sustain high-quality health systems. CHAI is supporting seven countries to launch and expand access to Hepatitis C testing and treatment programs and using market-shaping interventions to reduce commodity prices.
Oriel has worked with CHAI for nearly 8 years, supporting countries in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa on a range of access to commodity topics and program operations. Prior to joining CHAI, Oriel worked at the International Monetary Fund supporting macroeconomic and fiscal policy research.
