Samira Hakim is a trans right activist. She currently works for Transgender Netwerk Nederland and as confidential counselor for P&G292 (prostitution and health center in Amsterdam). She is co-founder and secretary of Trans United Nederland and a former board member of the LGBT network of the PvDA in the Netherlands. In 2018 she was involved in the organization of a pre-conference "HIV Prevention among Transgender People: Advances and Challenges-AIDS 2018" in Amsterdam, in preparation for the 2018 AIDS Conference. She is looking forward in addressing the issues that affect the trans community globally in regards to HIV and AIDS.
