Saulius Caplinskas, MD, PhD is Director of the Centre for Communicable Diseases and AIDS in Lithuania, Mykolas Romeris University Professor at the Faculty of Social Technologies, Member of the Expert Group on HIV/AIDS and Associated Infections of the European Commission Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being; Member of the HIV/AIDS Think Tank at the European Commission; WHO and UNAIDS international expert. Apprenticeships in US, Scandinavia and other European countries, the most famous scientific and practical institutions.
Prof. Caplinskas is author and co-author of a number of monographs, methodical recommendations, scientific articles and more than 600 publications. His scientific research areas are HIV / AIDS diagnosis, prevention, surveillance; social determinants of health, HIV prevention in target groups; public health management, communication with the public.
