Dr Sivaporn Gatechompol graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She did her internal medicine and infectious disease trainings at Ramathibodi Hospital. She is an infectious disease specialist. She currently works at HIV-NAT, Thai Red Cross – AIDS Research Centre as a principle or co-investigator for several HIV studies at HIV-NAT. She is also a co-investigator for several ACTG trials and pharmaceutical studies. She is the first Thai young investigator who submitted a new concept sheet to the ACTG network and her study was supported by the network. In addition, she is an investigator at the Tuberculosis Research Unit (TB RU) at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is currently focusing her work on tuberculosis.
