Suzue Saito leads the Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA) Analytics team with ICAP at Columbia University where she directs data management and analysis of PHIA survey data from 14 high burden countries. Her team supports development of electronic data collection instruments, data cleaning and processing, generation of survey weights and production of statistical tabulations and technical documentation for dissemination to stakeholders and to the public at large. She also recently has taken on a new role as the Project Director of the Tracking with Recency Assay to Control the Epidemic (TRACE) Project that is rolling out the new rapid HIV recency tests in countries nearing epidemic control to timely identify emerging hotspots, target prevention efforts, and halt ongoing transmission. Suzue is an epidemiologist and received a doctorate in epidemiology from Columbia University
